! LONDON QUOTATIONS. lAMB MARKET QUIET. Lamb market: Quiet, and prime quality steady. Second quality shade easier. Demand still affected by heavy supplies of Home-killed. Mutton market: Wethers easier, excepting lightweights. Ewes generally lower with slow trade. Beef market: Frozen beef, market firm. Chilled beef: Better prices this week owing to shorter supplies and good trade. N.Z. porker pigs: Fair trade at unchanged prices. N.Z. baconer pigs: Market steady and unchanged. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday, October 6. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week on which this list is issued. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market.
