An Arab police sergeant and a woman bystander were shot dead in a street in Haifa. Two bombs exploded harmlessly in Nablus. Three bombs damaged the Jerusa-lem-Lydda railway. A British police inspector and a constable inspecting a bomb found in a street at Jerusalem were seriously injured when it exploded. Armed robberies and terrorism are increasing throughout the country.
