ANY COMPLAINTS?
Attached to the department of Tourist Travel, a dependency of the French Ministry of Public Works, is a Complaints Bureau whose mission is to investigate all complaints of tourists. During 1937 this department received 374 complaints. Of these, 143 were lodged by Frenchmen, 83 by English. 49 by Americans, and 99 by tourists of other nationalities.
Out of the 374 complaints, only 136 Were found to be justified, and more than four-fifths of the complaining visitors received satisfaction. Hotels failing to comply with the recent law compelling them to post up their prices in every room are immediately proceeded against.
