Mrs C. C. Smith (Lower Hutt), is on a visit to Greytown.
Miss J. Rayne, Lansdowne, is spending the school holidays at Plimmerton. Miss Becky Taylor, Masterton, is staying with her sister, Mrs R. A. Giddens, Lower Hutt. The Misses Morrison, Lansdowne, who have been visiting Wellington, have returned to Masterton. Miss E. Horner, Cornwall Street, Masterton, will sail from Wellington today on a visit to England. Mr and Mrs E. S. Craven, Hastings, and their small son are the guests of Mr and Mrs H. R. Thomson, College Street, Masterton. Mr and Mrs J. H. Conly, Masterton, are spending the school holidays at Lyall Bay, Wellington. Mrs W., Arthur Wilkie, Martinborough, is spending a short holiday at Wellington. Later she will visit Masterton, where she will be the guest of her sister, Mrs Donald Duncan. Mr and Mrs E. Hasell have left Masterton for Dunedin, where they will in future reside. They were guests at a number of parties before leaving for the south.
A most enjoyable afternoon was spent yesterday at the residence of Mrs W. G. Lamb, who entertained a few old friends in honour of the 86th birthday of her mother, Mrs W. T. Grundy, who was the recipient of a number of bouquets and gifts, together with good wishes for many more happy birthdays.
