Although heavy rain fell throughout the province this morning, there was a good attendance for the concluding day of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s autumn meeting. The investments for the day amounted to £14,995/10/-, which compared very favourably with the £14,911/10/handled on the second day last year, which was on the Coronation holiday. ROSEHILL RACES. ANOTHER WIN FOR SARCHERIE. SYDNEY, April 2. Racing at Rosehill to-day, the old lady of the Turf, Sarcherie, achieved still another victory in the Rawson Stakes, giving Cathartes and Allunga a sound beating in that event. Sir Regent was not equal to winning the Rosehill Autumn Handicap, which went to Mestoravon easily, while Mohican scored comfortably from Bodley Head in the Railway Handicap. Chief results are: —
