Masonic Funeral.
A large and imposing Masonic tenant, attended by the officers and members of St Mark's Lodge, Carterton, BO and ths (heytown Lodge 80, took place at Carterton on Monday, the occasion being the funeral of Bra James Cooper, of Clad stone, who had ben a member of both kb# of are-named Ledges. The funeral servioe woe impressively performed by the Bev Bolton, end Bra Deny. WM, of tbs Bt Mark's Lodge deiivend the jlaaoiie funeral rites in a most fmpraesive nd able manner. The funeral Masonic odea 4n rendered by an excellent choir at the grave, end friends tram ell parts of the Weintnpo, including Waihenga and other parte .of the Lower Talley were present to pay the last tribute of reepeet to the deceased, who was a very old and respected settler in the dhtriet. U was ol o notieeable that Mr Oeoper had inspired the good opinion* of the natives, oe many travelled a ong dietanee to attend the obseqaie*.
