Pairbrother) m the cbiir, Crs A Kenxie, J B*yii«, 4 Booth, G W Deller, T Moon, and W Tiekerstafi The treasurer reported a credit ba' ince at the Bank of £47 ISa, with a further -übsidy wow daa from the Government of 115. Mr H H Woltera waa appoinleii Town Clark and Traaatmt at a salary of £SO per annum. It was resolved to invite applications for the combined office of poundkeeper, dog tax collector, lamplighter and inspector of nuisances, the salary being fixed at £2o per ana am, and that a )d in the £ rata be levied lot the CBMiing year. Ora Beyllaa, Booth, end the Clerk were appointed to adjust the Western boundaries oI tha Borough in conjunction with the surveyor, Mr E. Anderson. Ike Mayor, Crs McKenzie, Deller, end Moore, were appointed a By laws Committee , The Clark waa instructed to ask Mr Underhill to give a pries for making street lamps, and also to get permission from the Telegraph Department to allow the lamps to b« fixed to the telegraph poet a, as they were convenient. The Clark was instructed to ask Ur Mason to ratify the offer which he made to the late Town Board in respect to half an acre of land lor a gravel pit The estimated expenditure tor the year wac reported to be £485. Several small accounts were passed for payment. The meeting then’ terminated.
