The Shearers’ Union.
The Anrari Sheep Farmers’ Association have p— led the following resolutions; — this Association refuse to recognise the Shearers’ Union, and pledge them■atves not to employ any members thereof either at shearing or at any other period of the year. That a copy of this resolution be sent to the New Zealand Wool Growers’ Association and kindred associations, requesting 00-operation throughout New Zealand ; that a deputation consisting of Weirs A. W. Rutherford, D. D. Madarlane, G. D. Greenwood, EL Wharton, and W. A. Low interview Mr 0. W. Turner, the agent for the Tyser Hue, to ascertain what it will cost to bring Kaffir shearers from South Africa, as it is understood that Mod shearers are paid there at 6s per aandred; that the sheep owners in the district not present at this meeting be written to ana asked to join the association in their stand rt the Shearers’ Union.
