Flood at Kaiapoi.
The flood at Kaiapoi reached its greatest height at 12.15 on Tuesday night, when almost every bouse was flooded. No lives were lost, but several families were saved by boats at great risk. There was great destruction of hoosebeld goods as they could not be got out in time. Ibe Hood was the ■igfaeet ever known.
