Featherston Road Board.

Tbia Board met on Saturday at Feather** ton. Preaeot-Meeara J. Tnily (chairman), MeDougall, Matthews. Bidwill, Monckton, Dowman. Elgar, and Harris. The minute* of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. TBEasrua'a statxmsiit. The treasurer’s statement was read as follows ; The Treasurer reported L2BB 7s 4d to credit of the ordinary accounts and L 34 7a lid to credit of imprest aoeoont, L2BO bad been reeeived, on amount of general rates, LI2S balance of subaidy, and sun ry small amounts aiuee last meeting. Meaare Tnily and McDougall were appointed to sign cheque*, and accounts amounting to LS6O were passed for payment. A cheque waa also passed to meet the half > ear’s interest on loans doe on Ist August, Correspondence outwards was read from tbs letter book. Tbe rate of one farthing in the £ made by tbe South Wairarapa River Board was confirmed, and the rate book signed. Mr W Burt asked the Beard to redoes the grade of tbe hill near the Kaitara school, leading on to Murriaoo's run, taod be would assist. It was pointed out that aa Mr Burt was not a ratepayer, and the work weold be aolely in his interest, the Board could not comply with bis request. " Ibe meeting then adjourned.
