Protection at Carterton.
A crowded meeting took place at Carterton on Saturday night. Mr H Callister in the chair.
The meeting was convened for the purpose ol bearing the views of several persons npon the Protectionist principles. Messrs S Hart, W Moriarty and Hogg spoke in favor of the policy at some length. And the meeting ultimately carried a resolution in favoar of a limited protection without one dissentient voice.
