THREATS FROM FRANCE AND RUSSIA CONCERNING EGYPT.
Constantinople, 22nd June The Turkish Goverment received, on the soth instant, threatening diplomatic notes from both the French and Russian Governmems, protesting against the Anglo-Turkish Con veal ion regarding Egypt, and fainting that there is danger of war if the Convention is ratified. The time for the ratification of the Anglo-Turkish Egyptian Convention has been extended to the end of the Mohammedan festival of Bairam, which -ommeaces to-morrow. London, 23rd June. Russia hints that she will advance on Erxeroum or in the direction of the Euphra lea Valley, and France declares that she will reserve the right of free actiou in Syria and elsewhere. 24th June. Diplomatists do aot regard with dismay the threats of Russia and trance, since , Germany, England, Austria, and Italy are nmted regarding the Egyptian question.
