SENIOR CUP. Carterton v Greytown. The second heat for the Senior Cap was played at Carterton on Saturday last. The teams were on the ground very punctual to time. The game resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. The teams were placed as follows Carterton—Back, Ussher ; half backs, A Moore and Rutherford; quarter backs, Betbune, Imcena, Banmber ; forwards, Fairbrother (captain), J and P Peters, Rhd, Ussher, Smith, Nicholson, T and J Moore. Greytown—Back, S Tally ; half hacks, W Tully and A Beard ; quarter backs, A Udy. Ryan, and Teny ; forwards, E Udy (captain). C Udy, C and J Beard, Goldsmith, Connolly, Saywell, H Tully and G Humphries, Mr Nix and Mr Hirsohberg tor Carterton and Greytown acted as umpires ; Mr Beeohy was referee. Carterton kicked off. The game was very fast and Greytown very soon had the Carterton team in difficulties. Betbune relieved his side by a flue run. Loose scrimmaging was the order of the day. In the first spell Greytown had rather the best of the game. Carterton rallied and by a grand rush carried the ball over ibe line, but Carterton lost a good ohanoe of scoring, the ball touching s spectator.
