Greytown Hospital.

A meeting ol the Greytown Hospital Iras* tees was held at the Secretary's office yester day afternoon. Present, Mr W, C. Cuff (ohaitman), W. Skeet, G. Wyett, and F. H. Wood, secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The secretary presented the report, which showed that some .xteneive improvements bad been made to the Hospital and grounds since the inspector's visit, and that matters generally were progressing very autiffaetorily under the management o' Mr and Mrs Wright reflecting great ci. upon all concerned. (The Inspector happened to call at a most critical period, or his report would have been very different). There is at present a credit balance of £ 81 2s 8i in the bank.

The balance sheet was presented showing receipts for tickets, &o. for the year £3lO 12s Bd, expenditure £336 Is 6d ; a Balance was in hand of £7l Is 5d from last year making a total of £76 16s 7d. The assets including property showed a preponderance of £876 13s over liabilities.

During the year 27 patients have been admitted, one died, 22 have been outed and 4 have been discharged as probably incurable, and at present there were (our patients in the institution. It was shown that the cost per P-itum was upon an average £l2 8s 2d. Accounts to the amount of £l3 7s 5d were passed lor payment.

The Kev J Ward was elected a trustee iu the place of the Kev W T Western who resigned owing to his leaving the colony. Mr Wyett proposed and Mr Skeet seconded a most cordial vote of thanks to the Bev Mr Ward and those ladies, gentlemen and children who temleicd such valuable assistance to the hospital funds, by performing tba Cantata iu the several towns in the district lor that particular benefit. The motion was earned with acclamation and with many ex pteasions of gratitude on behalf of the hospital management. IU4 tickets were sold last year, the proceeds from same being £4B 10s.
