SPORTING.

Albert Lyford will still have charge, notwithstanding a paragraph that appeared in a Wellington jiafier to the effect that a well known trainer was going to start training on his own account. Meem Mazton and Wgbater will bold a huge gale ot merchandise ■ ( all descriptions at their aaetioa rooms, Grey town, on Saturday, Jane 18th. The price ol cheep and cattle is rising at Palmerston North. Mr Buchanan, MHB, has an election notice in today, announcing his candidature lor Wairarapa Sooth. The Druids meet tomorrow night.
