It will take some time 1,0 make the arrangements for bringing the Representation Bill into working force and action. Certain commissioners have to be appointed, boundaries of electoral districts determined, aud now electoral rolls prepared, but it seems probable that all the accessary an'angomeuts can be made so as to got through the general election and have a brand new Parliament, holding its first session sometime in September, or probably October. There has been any amount of lighting aud hard hitting between the Government aud the Opposition before matters in dispute could be settled; but now everything seems clear enough, aud matters will adjust themselves iu tho manner already indicated. Very soon the generrl election will be iu full swing. Mr Buchanan will stand again for our new electorate of Wairarapa South, aud Mr Bunny is already iu the Held to oppose him aud tight for the seat. In the northern end of tho district, Mr Beotham will of course come forward again, but he will find opponents iu Mr Hawkins aud Mi 1 MeCardlo. It is too early in the day as yet to speculate as to the possible results of the contests iu tho Wairarapa districts, By-and-by all the contestants will place their addresses before tho electors, and an opportunity will thou bo afforded of dealing fairly with each and all, of them according to their claims aud merits.
