Resident Registrar of Electors.
To the Editor of the Standard. Sib,—l am pleased to find that Mr Buchanan has acted upon the suggestion of several residents of Greytown.and endeavored to get a resident registrar of electors appointed for Wairarapa South. Of course the official is bound to bejappointed for Greytown. the central pla te, as it will be quite useless to have the registrar at Carterton. He might just as well as at present reside at Masterten, so far as the Lower Talley residents are concerned, as the inoonvnience would be nearly the same. No other place but Gieytown or Peatherston would be comatable for the Lower TaUey, Kahautara, or Uoroa, but Qreytown or Featherston. I am, &0., A* Elbctob. May 16.18b/.
