There is no local demand, and prices are nominal at 6d to 6d per lb. New cure bacon is now fairly offering at an increase of Jd per lb on last season’s rates ; we quote bacon 7d, hams Bfd for best Canterbury, other deeoriptions remain nnsaleable. Oats continue to rule at low rates, say from Is lid to 3s Id for really good samples ; oatmeal, from LlO 5s to LlO 10s ; chaff L 3 IOsJ to L 4 10s, flout unchanged at LlO for sacks, pollard L 4 10s, bran Lt, fowls’ wheat 3s 6d to 3s 6d, maize 4t 6d to 4s 9d, feed barley 2s 9d to 3s lOd, beans 3s 9d, peas 3a 6d, rye grass 3s 6d, Dewent potatoes 50s to 55s per ton, cheese dull at 4d to 5d per lb, fresh batter 7d to Bd, eggs 2s 6d per doz.
