Foatherston School Committee.
To the Editor of the Standard. Sir, —The remarks made by “ Fiat Justitia,” in your issue of the 27th ult., are quite right with regard to cumulative voting; but when he goes on to east a slur on another by saying that to have such a man at the head of tho poll, is au insult to some of the members, I think he is going a little too far and, in fact, shows a good deal of the “ paper collar ” element. Then, again, a man who may have done a good turn as a committeeman in the past is not altogether the man to trust implicitly to for the future ? And, farther, I should like to know why this illused, but prominent, member is not quite as capable of conscientiously filling the position in which he is now placed as anyone of the “Upper Ten” of the charming little township of Featherstoni 1 Yours, &c„ Omega.
