MOBBISON’S BUSH c, C. V. GUEYTOWI SECOND ELEVEN. Saturday last witnessed the return match between the above clubs on the Greytown Reserve, resulting in another victory lor the visitors by 25 runs on tbe first innings. Morrison's Bush, with Beeves ns enptnin, were the first to bat, but all their wickets up to the eighth fell for 19 runs, when T. Wakelin went in and kept up bis stamps ti l 48 appeared on tbe scoring sheet, Cox, who played substitute for the visitors, carry, log out his bat tor a finely played 25, though he should have been given out caught when he had scored but 5 ; extras rather large, 1G ; tho innings closing for 56 runs In their second innings they failed to score so largely, 32 runs, with one wicket to fall, A. Wakelin 9, and F. Marlin 6 not out, playing steadily for their scores ; extras 10. Tbe bowling of G. Jackson was good all through both innings for Greytown, be taking 9 wickets for 18 rang. F. Knell, who has only to use his head a little, and bowl well within hia strength to develop iuto a decent bowler, secured 5 wickets for 25 runs. R. Judd, a coming bowler, 1 lor 7. The Greytown team’* weakest point was hatting ; io fielding and bowling they seemed to do very well, G. Jackson, their captain, seeing only 81 run* scored by his side, tbe highest number of which was contributed by P. Cotter, 8, bv some free hitting. Turner coming next with 6, one, a splendid leg hit of the day lor 6. A. Wakelin bowled remarkably well, taking 4 wicketa for 9 runs ; Henderson, who knows how to bowl a little, getting 3 lor 20, each bowler sending down 7 overs each. The fielding of the visitors was very fair, thirteen “ dock’s " eggs and seven men run out being noticeable features of tbe match. Our cricketers must use a little more discretion between the wickets when tanning. Had tbe sides picked attended to play for their respective clubs tbe resalt would no doubt have been ditforeDt, Cox, the beet bat of the local team, being rather a strong player against second class bowling, whilst on tbe ' other hand, two first class men played lot tbe second team. Tbe game was a pleasant one, though the light at the latter part of the game, 5.30, was not very good. Following are ths scores Mobrisom’s Bush.
