From Mr F H Wood, secretary to the Greytown Boepital Tnuteee, anbrnitting a return of subsidy required which will altogether amount to £250. £IBO of which will he doe from the Government, and the balance (£7O) through the Boerd; bat as there is 'a Put probability of the institution being subsidised by proceeds of several entertainments, there was a prospect of that amount (or any) not being required A statement wm also forwarded, showing the gross probable expenditure as £435 and receipts from various sources sufficient to meet the die* horsemen te. The Maeterton return was not sent in time for the consideration of the meeting. 3 Mr Bonny moved. That as the Maeterton Hospital Trustee* have not sent in a requisition. no orders be made in respect to the hospital, and as the Greytown Hospital Trustees wa not likely to require any sabsidy no order be made on behalf of that body. Seconded by Mr Buchanan and carried. Mr Dagg moved and Mr Beet ham seconded, That the resolution appointing Greytown os the place of meeting be rescinded and that Maeterton be substituted se the place for holding meetings of the Board. Mr B Ddy moved as an amendment and it was seconded by Mr J. Tally that Carterton be the permanent place of meeting. Masers Cdy, Tolly, Booth, Bonny and Buchanan rated for the amendment, and Messrs Beetham, Caasibetg, Gapper, Dagg and the Chairman votad against, and the latter gentleman •are tee easting vole against the amendment ■nddeaiared it lost.
