Cholera in Chili.
Great excitement prevails throughout Chill at the appearance ot cholera on ita boundaries. No fewer than 40 coses have boon reported in cue day. They speak ol bodies unburied, of houses abandoned, and of children attacked by the disease aud left to perish on the roadxide by their relatives who were fleeing southwards for safety. In* plague in Mendoza was equal in horror to anything that came before Marseilles while cholera was there. The poorer classes were swept away, and victims periebed after six hours ol most fearful Buffering. The Laze, retto was more crowded with corpses than with patients. The etreeta were noisy with hearse* and carte laden with dead bodies, which passed and repaseed the whole day. Corpses remained outside every crowded cemetery nuburied. lu despair the Government threw open the doors of the Penitea tiary, promising the criminal inmates a pardon on condition that they buned the dead.
