Shocking Fatal Accident at Wellington.
A very shocking accident happened at Te Aro House on Wednesday whereby a punter named Duncan Craig lost bis hfe.' A worn in residing in a house in Dixon Street states that she saw the deceased coming out o I the upper window backwards, and as soon as his feet touched the ledge of the parapet he slipped, fell backwards, turned a somersault, and fell iu a heap on the pavement. Site saw no ladder. Her screams alarmed the people iu the shop, who rushed out only to find Craig a corpse, the hell of bis scalp having been torn off by the fall. It was evident that life was extinct, but the body was not removed till medical aid was procured. The deceased was a single man in the employ of Messrs Tustin, painters, and was the main support of a widowed mother and sick sister.
