NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned persons have been duly nominated as members of the Carterton Licensing Committee at the present annual election, viz ; BENNETT, THOMAS FAIRBROTHER, RICHARD McKenzie, andrevv STEVENS, JAMES VICKERSTAFF, WILLIAM As the number of candidates nominated equals the number of offices to be filled, I hereby declare the above named duly elected the Licensing Committee for the Carterton Licensing District, for the ensuing 12 months, and 1 appoint the Court house, Carterton, as the place, and SATURDAY, the nineteenth imv of February, 1887, at 1(1.45 o’clock in the forenoon as the time for holding the first meeting of the said Committee. ZEALAND RAILWAYS. WELLINGTON SECTION. WELLINGTON RACING CLUB’S SECOND DAV OP Summer Meeting Postponed till SATURDAY, FEB. 18,1887 ON above date the Morning Train from Maaterton will not leave till 8.30 am, and will run one hour later than usual throughout to Wellington. The Evening Train from Wellington to Maaterton will not leave until 5-35 pm. and will be correspondingly late at, all stations throughout to Maaterton, A train to connect with morning train from Maaterton will leave Qreytown at 9.10 am. All other trains will run aa usual. Cheap Excursion Tickets, as under, will be issued to Wellington on Friday and Saturday, February the 11th and 12ib, respectively, available for return up to and including Monday, February 14th, 1837:

On Friday and Saturday, February 11th and 12th, respectively, Saturday Return Tickets may be issued from all other stations to Wellington and Petone. to be also available for return up to ana including Monday, February 14lh. On FEBRUARY 12th, Racecourse Trains will leave Wellington for Race* course Platform at 11.15 am, 12 noon, 12.25 pm and 1.33 pm, and Racecourse Platform for Wellington at 4.26 and 5.3(1 pm, stopping at dag stations as required. First race starts at 1 pm and last race I is timed to be run at 5 pm. Passengers for Wairarapa Stations leaving Racecourse Platform at 5 30 pm must alight at Petone Junction and join Wairarapa tram at Petone station. If the last race should be run later than 5 pm, the last train from Racecourse Platform, also the Wairarapa train, will be delayed if necessary.
