London, February 6. The wheat market is quiet, and there have been large arrivals. The Home market is depressed. English has declined Is during the week, and foreign fid. Australian wheat cargoes on the spot are quoted at 38s. There have been no sales of the new crop. In wool German and French buyers are more cautious, but the Americans are buying freely. Cross-bteds are very firm. Allsepp’s Brewing Company has been covered thirty times. New Zealand mutton is selling at 4jd per lb. Svdn*t, Feb S. At the test bicycle races which took place in Sydney yesterday, the mite event was won by Wood, the English bicyclist, the fivei mile race being won by Con Dwyer, of Mel> bourne.
