Waste Feed.
To the Editor of the Standard. Sir—l read with pleasure you* »ery sensible leaderette on the subject of warts feed on the side roads in the Greytown Borough, and would take the liberty of suggesting to the powers that be, that without going to the trouble of altering their by laws, they give the ranger instructions not to ponnd any cattle between the hours of 8 am. or 5 p.m., say for the months of February and March. The main objection to cattle feeding npon tbe roads is, I believe, that it is dangerous for travellers on a dark night. My suggestion would obviate that. I may add that it is not an original idea, as tbe same custom is adopted in many country townships all thro’ the colonies, also in most villages at home. The advantages are numerous and I trust the suggestion may meet with favorable consideration from the Mayor and Councillors at the meeting this evening. I am, Ac., Wabtz Not Want Not,
