Coinapondenta meat, in every esse, famish their names and addresses, not necessarily for publication, bat as a guarantee of good faith. All letters for insertion most be written on one side or the PiPEB oxtr, and addressed, to the Editor of the Standard. We do not identity ourselves with the opinions expressed by our correspondents. In order to secure insertion. Advertisements, &c., must be sent in not later than eleven o’clock on the day of publication. Advertisements without number of insertions marked thereon will be inserted till ordered out, or are left out through effluxion of time. Births, Marriages, and Deaths, are inserted gratis but they must be properly authenticated. Letters and communications on subjects of local and general interest, if fairly and temperately written, and of brief length, will, so far as space permits, find insertion in onr columns.
