Turatahi-Carterton Road Board.
The ordinary monthly meeting el the above Board was held on Monday last. Present— Messrs B Boys (chairman), W Booth, H Braithwaite, W Parker, J Raynor, E W Dorset, H K Bunny, and Jas Stevens, Tbe minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
This being the first meeting in the New Year, the illuminated address which was given to the chairman, Mr R Boys some time back, and which lias since been neatly framed, was presented, and very cordially accepted by tire chairman with a few well chosen remarks to the donors.
Correspondence was read from the Treasury department re the subsidy to the local bodies.
Tenders fur the following works were opened re formation Hughes' Line, formation Reynold’s Line, fencing through Mr Morgan’s property and were all declined as being too high. Tenders for metalling I'o chains I'obden Road, liman Gully, was accepted at .‘ll its Pd per chain, Messrs J and G Stevens being the successful tenderers.
Some accounts were passed lot payment, and the meeting terminated.
