Conference on Irish Affairs.
Lot* Dos, December 5, Fifteen hundred leading Unioniite attended the Conference upon Irish affaire. Lords Derby and Selbonrne, Mr Goseben and Sir George Trevelyan spoke in support of Lord Martiugton. Mr Chambetlaiu wired that there oonld be no reanioo of the Liberal party until the policy pursued by Mr Gladatone was abandoned. Mr Bright wrote that there was no hope of a moderate policy from Mr Gladstone. Lord Haningtou denied that there was any sympathy between the English democracy and the Anarchist policy of the Land League. The Press declares that the Conference will greatly encourage Govern* ment in the position it has taken np with regard to Ireland.
