Featherston Town Board.

The regular monthly meeting of the Featherston Town Board was held on Monday evening. Present—Commissioner* Reynolds (chairman), Gundy, Oakly, Jas Donald, and A, Donald. The minutes of last meeting and special meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer’s statement showed a balance of L 77 6s 6d. Accounts to the amount of Ll7 7s were passed for payment. Mr Riddick paid 12s 6 < for tight to cut grass. The pound keeper paid in fees 2ds, and the ranger LI 6s. The Clerk paid in rents fid, and the I Registrar of Pegs Is sd,

Works Committte report recomuieu ded ; that Waite Street in front of cottars have drain pipes placed in the table drain at the expense of the property holders, they having guaranteed to find pipe if the Board supply the labour; als» that Brow St and Harrison St be opened tor traffic to enable cattle to be driven to ths sale yards without going through the tows; also footpath in Revans St and Fox St b« formed, and culvert on Murphy’s Line to be put in. It was resolved that the above works be left in the hands of the Works Committee to carry out. It was resolved that tenders be invited for the grass in the office paddock.
