Cricket.
The following cricket teams have been selected by the Match Committee to play next Saturday against each other at the Reserve, and it is expected that everyone will turn out so that a good match may be tbo result. _ Any members not mentioned and intending members will be cordially welcomed. The colors now being obtainable at Veitch and Allan’s store, this match would be an opportunity of appearing in them :—Scores tary’s Team—W Judd, Cox, Hawke, Webster, Leeks, Turner, Eooleton, Henderson, A. Wakelin, M Varnham, D Henry. E Udy, M CjsTully, Barnard, F Johnston. Treasurer’s Team—Cuff, Rutherford. J Judd, J Nation, Knell, G Jackson, P W Jackson, Hobman, Lucena, Maguire, £> Baillie, Lackland, P Cotter, W 0 Nation, and Knight. A general meeting of the Greytown Cricket Club will be held this evening to discuss rules. The opening match of the Featberston Cricket Club takes places this afternoon. The Carterton Cricketers meet at the White Hart Hotel this evening. < The English Press has pronounced Scott’s Australian cricket team a failure.
