feathebston racing club,
A meeting of tbe Stewards of the Featherston Bating Club was held at Featberston on Saturday afternoon and the balance sheet was presented.
In the evening a meeting of members was held which was largely attended and members expressed much pleasure at the satisfactory position of the funds of the C.ub. Mr John Bidwill was elected President, Mr Wallace Smith, Jodge, Mr B. Barton, Secretary and Treasurer; Stewards—Messrs A Matthews, W 0 Williams, W E Bidwill, G T F Hutton, W Candy, J T Hodder and A Wilkinson. It *as resolved to submit the programme for the next meeting to the Wellington Racing Club.
A cordial rote of thanks was proposed to the Secretary (Mr B. Barton) for his valuable services and exertiona on behalf of the Club.
The Club is both financially and in point of members in a most flourishng position at present, and in passing tbe balance sheet the members present expressed much gratification.
