Richard Forrest,aged 60, committed suicide yesterday at Invercargill by drinking a lotion (or external application, He died about six hours after takiog the poison. Forrest was a very respectable man, and was formerly a leather merchant in Dunedin, and well to do. Latterly he has fallen into low circumstances, his only means of sustenance being a little oletioal work, which ill-health compelled him to relinquish. He leaveswidow.
