The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the fo.lowtcg telegram from their London office, dated 13th instant “ Wool—The sales progress firmly, and competition by both Home and foreign buyers is active. Coarse Wat-lied crossbred has advanced 4dpet lb, and coarse greasy crossbred nearly la per lb since do! e of last sales. The total quantity catalogued to date is B'o.ooo bales, and the total quantity withdrawn is 7000 bales. Wheat -The market hag an upward tendency. There are conflicting reports of the American crops Hops--The crop prospects here and on the Continent are good, bat report* of the American crop are gloomy. The nominal quotation for New Zealand is 31* per owt; American are worth 85s per cwt.” Messrs Murray, Roberta and Co , of W*l linj ton on Wednesday received the following cable message from .heir London friends, Messrs Banderson, Murray and Co. Wool —Market stronger, especially lot oroaabred.
