GREYTOWN CRICKET CLUB. The Greytown Cricket Club's first eleven played only four matches against outside clubs during the past season, all of which were won easily, viz., the Surrey (Wellington), Wellington Club, Masterton, and the Lower Valley. The subjoined tables show the hatting and bowling averages in those matches, by which it will be seen that W. Judd has the best average (2.18 runs per wicket); he therefore takes the bat presented to the club for the bowler with the highest average. The same player also has the best batting average, the analysis showing 17.75 runs per innings (twice not out). Next season it is to be hoped that the club will show more energy, and endeavor to play more matches. Their ground should also be seen to in time, in order that a good wicket may be prepared Battino.
