Mb Gladstone baa been granted the opportunity of appealing to the country from the adverse decision of Parliament on the Irish Home Rule proposals. It is thought that the Imperial Parliament will be dissolved by 26th June, that the general election will follow in due course and that theNewParliament will meet in October. There will shortly be stirring times in the United Kingdom when the general election is taking place.
