Nomination 10s ; acceptance 1 sov. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Ail entries moat be made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising ont of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards § resent, or whom they may appoint, and that such ecision shall be final and binding in all leases. Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race, Birthday Handicap, and Clareville Handicap, to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description, and age of horse, and-the colors of the rider, and to be sent in accompanied by the nomination fee to the Hon. Secretary, G. W. Deller, Carterton, on or before THURSDAY, 29th Arxu., 1896, nt 9 p.m. Weights to be declared on FRIDAY, 7th Mat, 1886, and published in the local newspapers. Acceptances and General Entries to be made on or before MONDAY, 24tii May, 1886, at 9 p.m. Three entries or the public money will be withheld. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary, wilhin ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a deposit of two ponnda, which shall be forfeited if the stewards are of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexations. All jockeys to ride in the colors nominated or a fine of 1 sov. will be enforced. The saddling bell will ting at 11 am., first race to start at 11 30 sharp. The rules of the Clnb to apply in all eases, where not provided for in this programme. A horse to run in the Hack and Hack Hurdle Races, must comply with the following conditions, vis j—(1.) It must be in actual use as a ‘ bona fide’ hack. (2.) It must not have been trained, (i.e.) galloped or sweated in clothing or rug at least for six months before this race meeting. (3.) It must never have been entered for any other race, the advertised stake of which being more than fitly pounds. (4.) It must not for two years previons to this race meeting have started for any race except a Hack or Hock Hurdle Race, (6.) It mast never have won any race except a Haek er Hack Hurdle race. G. W. In order to give the Storekeepers and others of Greytown the benefit of sending or receiving goods, <fcc., from the Lower Valley, the Conveyance will leave Martinborougb at 9 a.m., arriving in Greytown about II; leaving Urey town on Thursdays at 3 p.m., and arriving at Maryborough at 6.
