A pigeon shooting match was held at the Platform Farm, near Ore.Ttown, on Saturday. Although many of the local sportsmen were ut the Hntt Park races there was a (air attendance, and the sport was macb enjoyed by those present. The birds, as a rale, did not rise so well from the traps as could be desired, but Mr P. Getter, who headed the scores, shot ever; bird he entered for. Mr Scale also made an excellent wing shot. It is the intention of some of those who take any interest in this sport to esll a meeting shortly to establish a gun olnb in this part of the Wsirarspa. A meeting of the Lower Valley Tootbal Club will be held at Martinborough on Satu« day next »t 2 p.m.
