Reserve Committee.

A meeting •< the Grey town Reserve Committee was held last evening. Present— Messrs Baillie (in the chair), Bright, Grsy, Fuller, Webster, Msgnire, and J. Nation. The meeting was informed that Mr Beard, Masterton, had sent in his resignation as a Trustee of the reserve. Mr Baillie proposed that the resignation be accepted, which Mr Bright seconded. On the motion of Mr B. Gray, seconded by Mr Webster, Mr Sam Haigh was unanimously elected Trui-tee in place of Mr Beard. Mr Gray moved that Mr W. C. Bachs nan, M.H.8., be asked to formally open the reserve on the day of the sports (March 17th). Mr Gray thought it wonld be as well to have the reserve opened with a little ceremony, and he believed Mr Bnobanan would be quite willing to undertake it. Seconded by Mr Msgnire, and carried. The Secretary was instructed to ask Mr Bnobaosn what time would be most convenient for him to declare the ground open. It was decided to invite the Mayor of Greytown to be present on the oooaeion of the opening ceremony. Mr Gray was authorised to employ a mtn to assist in forwarding the erection of the fence. Moved by Ur Webster and seconded by Mr Fuller. Mr Msgnire moved a vote of thanks to Mr Wm. Udy for hie kind present of piles (or the pavillion.
