All letters for insertion must be written ow on sidb of thb pipia onlv, and addressed, to the Editor of the Standard. We do not identify ourselves with the opinions expressed by our correspondents. In order to secure insertion, Advertisements, to., must be sent in not later than eleven o'clook on the day of publication. Births, Marriages, and Deaths, are inserted gratis, but they must be properly authenticated. Letters on subjects of local and general interest, if fairly and temperately written, and of brief length, will, 90 far as space permit, And insertion in our columns.
