MARTIN BOROUGH v. GREYTOWN BAND. The return match between the above named teama wee played in .S'eward's padd<>ck, Greytown, on Saturday last, and raeulted in a win for the musicians by 30 runs, only one innings being played of both aide*. Martiiibonuigh batted first, and made the creditable score of 77, W. Bidwill a first class 32, C. Bidwill 17, and F. Martin 13, all these showing really good cricket for their runs. An adjournment was then made to the Foresters’ Hotel, where a very nice repast was prepared fur the two teams. On arriving on the ground the Band went to the wicketa, and weie not disposed of till they had piled up 107 runs, towards which C. Beard contributed a fine inning* of 45, Magntre a nicely played 19, L'dy 10 ; the extraa being rather large, 22, against 5 made by their opponents Both sides fielded very well. C. Bidwill bowled well for his side, getting 0 wickets, Martin 4. G. Jackaou for ike Band did his side good service in taking 7 wickets, A. Hawke 2. W. Bidwill made the hit of the day for G There were not many visitors to listen to the Band, which contributed acme very nice selections during the day Messrs Green and T.
