As it is qaite poseible that there will be a dissolution of Parliament and a Government election within a brief period from the pre* sent time, it would be well that every settler should make sure that his name is on the Electoral Roll, and if it is not, get it placed there. When a general election is on, many people are much diiappointed at finding that their names are notou the roll. It is an easy matter to remedy this, as an application to the Resident Magistrate's Clerk will enable anyone to discover if his name is on the roll, and if not, he can get it at once placed there, provided he has resided the necessary period in the district
