To the Editor of the Standard. 8a, —How that you hire mentioned the ■array at present going on between the Wsirarap* and Pukeratabi, 1 hope taller particulars will be fortbc >miog. I heard of the survey in Wellington some weeks ago, bat did not think macb of the report. I sboald like to know whether Mr Climie is availing himself of the surrey of Captain Smith made many years ago over the same piece of country. The old Captain declared that he bad a better lice than the one we at present have, and judging from wbat yon said in root last issue, bis opinion will prove to be the right one after all. I should like to read Captain Smith's report aide by aide with Mr Climie'* when the latter gentleman baa completed bia work and reported to head quarters I am, die., Old Sittlib.
