RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries must he made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall be final and binding in all cases. Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race, TaratahiCarterton Jockey Club Spring Handicap, and Clareville Handicap to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description and age of horse, and the colors of the rider, ana to be sent in accompanied by the nomination fee to the Hon Secretary, G. \V. Duller, Carterton, on or before Wednesday, 3rd February, ISBC, 9 p.m. Weights to be declared on or Monday, the Bth February, 1866, and published in local newspapers. Acceptances and General entries to be made on or before Friday, 12th February, 1886, at 9 p.m. Three entries or the public money will be withheld. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within tea minutes after the race, accompanied by a deposit of two pounds, which shall be forfeited if the Stewards are of opinion that the protest is friyolous or vexatious. All jockeys to ride m the colors nominated or a fine ot 1 sot will be enforced. The saddling bell will ring at J 1.30 a.m., first race to start at 12 noon sharp. Tbe rules of the Club to apply in all cases, where not provided lor in this programme. A horse to tun in the Hack, and Hack Hurdle Races must comply with the following conditions, viz ;

(8) It must never have been entered for any other race, the advertised stake of which being mors than fifty pounds. (4) It must not for two yean previous to this race meeting have started for any race except a Hack, or Hack Hurdle Race. (5) It must never have won any race except a Hack, or Hack Hurdle Race. 0. W.
