The sub committee to arrange for the dance at the Oddfellows’ Hall, in connection with the Featberston school picnic, was held immediately altar the adjournment of the picnic committee meeting, and all details were arranged. It was decided to recommend that tickets be issued to those subscribers to picnic fund who {wished to attend, free, and that a charge of 2s fid each be made to cover expenses for non subscribers (gentlemen), ladies free. It was resolved that invitations be sent to Kaiwaiwai School through the Chairman, Mr W, O. Williams, and to Mr 8. Vennell, now of Oreytown, who has always hitherto taken an active interest in school matters. It was arranged to hold the next meeting on Friday evening at 8 p.m., instead of {Saturday as previously arranged, on account of Mr Buchanan’s meeting being advertised for Saturday. Mr C. J. Jury offers a reward of £2B on the conviction of any person found stealing sheep from his several properties.
