Such a chance does not very often occur of getting rid of the sorrel, couch and docks, and (or breaking up sing harbours and getting at insect pests generally. In growing crops the lioe should be kept constantly going, then you get the lull Irenefit of any shower that may fall. In sowing seeds water the drills well ; this is better than soaking the seeds. In planting cabbage, hrocoh, and other plants, make a thick puddle of soil, manor* and water ; dip each plant in so that some of the moisture clings to the plant, then draw a drill with the uoo, and d.p them in. be sot* the ground is well manured Urn k.
