Wairahapa District Produce, of 125 sovs, second horse 15 sots, third horse 10 sovs. For three-year-olds bred in the district. Nomination 1 sov, 2 sovs on night of general entry, and 1 sov before noou on day of race. Colts Rst lOlbs, fillies and geldings Bst 61bs. It miles. Closed with 25 nominations. Nomination 1 sov, acceptance 2 sovs. The handicap lor this event will be made and declared on the course after the Wairarapa Cup has been run for. Nomination for this event to be made on night of general entry. Bade, of 12 sova, second horse 2 sovs. 2 mile. Weight not less than fist. RULES AND REGULATIONS. To which the attention of persons entering horses it particulairy directed. The first saddling bell will ring at 11.30 am., and the first race starts at 12 sharp. Each race will start punctually at the advertised time. The races will be ran undei the Wairarapa Jockey Club’i Rules. No Qualification Fees. The Starter bet the power to place fractious or kicking horses or disobedient jockeys in any position he thinks necessary to secure a fair start, and fines for disobedience will be strictly enforced. AH entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at time ef entry, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. .... In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to be given, This only applies where horses have not raced in the Wairarapa, and where the performances are not included in the N'.Z, Turf Record. All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined two sovs. No en'ry will be accepted unless accompanied with the amount of entrance money. Nor w ill anv entry be received after the hour named under any pretence whatever No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition : That all disputes and objections arising out of this races shall he deciued hy a majority of the Stewards present, or tho-u whom they may appoint. Their decision upon nil points connected wUh the carrying out of this programme shall be final. The amount for second and third horses will ho deducted from the advertised amount of stakes. Two-year-olds may run at this meeting in any open race up to 1J miles, except for the Lady's Bracelet A “ Hack ” horse is one in actual use as u hack, which has not been in I raining for six inoiiihs pievious to the meeting, and which has not during that period been uominaied for, entered for, or run lur, other than hack races. Owners are particularly requested to observe that to avoid being fined, notice of scratching must he handed to the Secretary fiiteeu minutes before the time appointed to start. No horse which shall be proved to have run under a wilful false description either as to age, name, or pedigree, or any other ground contrary to racing law, shall be ever permitted to run again at the meetings of the W airarapa Jockey Club.
