Handicap, 85 sovs—Second horse 5 sovs from the stakes ; two miles ; nomination 1 sov ; acceptance 2 sovs, and one sov at post. 5. Bulling Race, 20 sovs—l mile, weight for age, the winner to become the absolute property of the Lower Valley Jockey Club, and to be sold by public auction immediately after the race. Entrance, 1 sov 6. Native Race Handicap, 20 sovs-One mile; nomination, 1 aovj acceptance, 10s. This race is only for horses owned at least six months previous to the day _of races, trained and to be ridden by aboriginal Natives. 7. Maetinbobodgh Handicap, 30 sovs—One mile ; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 10s ON S, Mahupuku A. E. McFarlane H. 0. Dowman.

RULES AND REGULATIONS. The saddling bell willring at 11.30 a.m., the first race start at noon sharp. Each Race will start punctually at tbe time appearing in the correct cards of the races. The flat races to be run under tbe L.V.J. 0. Rules. The Steeplechase under the N.Z.G.N.S.C. Rules. No scratching of horse sallowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time of starting, . AH entries and nominations to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to the Secretary, entrance money to be enclosed wiih color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colors of the rider. In case of a protest, the saihe must be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the pretest is not sustained. No entry will be received for any of the races, except upon the conditions, that all claims disputes and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all poiuts connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final.

Nominations for Flying Steeplechase, L.V.J.C., Mative Face and Martinborough Handicaps, close with the Secretary, at Martinborough on Thursday, November 19th, at 11 p.m. Weights declared for Flying Steeplechase, L.v.J.C., and Native Face Handicaps, on Saturday, December sth, at 7 p.m. Acceptances for the same on Thursday, December 17th, at 11 p.m., at which time the entries for the Selling Race close with the Secretary at Martinborough. Weights for the Martinborough Handicap to be declared on the course after the Native Face is over. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes before (he race takes place. Final payments lor the L.V.J.C., and Steeplechase Handicaps to be made on the course au hour before the appointed time of starting for those events. No entry, nomination, acceptance, or final payments will be acceptedafter the appointed timeunder any pretence whatever. In the event of a walk over, only fifty per cent of the stakes will be given Horse owners should hear in mind that letters re* quire to be in the Featherston Post Office on Mondays and Thursdays afternoon to catch the mails going down to Martinborough on those days. The races will be run under the Wnirarapa Jockey Club rules when net contrary to these regulations. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30, and the first race starts at 12 sharp. No entry will be received except on condition that all disputes shall be left to ihe decision of a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint; their decision on ail points must be accepted as final. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. All protests must be made in writing and lodged with the Secretary with a deposit of £1 within 16 minutes after the race, the deposit to be forfeited if the stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Owners are particularly requested to observe that to avoid being fined, notice of soratohings must be handed to the Secretary fifteen minutes before the time appointed to start. A hack horse is one In actual use as a hack and which has never run for other than hack races. Entries and acceptances must be made in writing and addressed to the Secretary of the F.E.C., Fcatherston, accompanied by the necessary lees with name, pedigree, age, and color ofhoree and (in ease of handicap, the previous performances) also colors to be worn by riders The Starter has the power to place fractious or kicking horses and disobedient jockeys in any position he thinks necessary to secure a fair start, and fines for disobedience will be strictly enforced. Nominations for Handicaps will close at the Eoyat Hotel, Featheraton, on Tuesday the Ist day of December, at 8.80 p.m. Weights will be declared on Monday, 14th December, at 8 80p.m. Acceptances for Handicaps to be made on Monday, 21st December, at 8.80 p m.
