The committee of the Carterton School wrote asking the Board to appoint Mr Harper in the place of Miss Searle. who i: was :ouoii would bo unable to assume tho duties of the school until after Christmas. It was deoiled that Mr Harper should remain in the school till the Christmas holidays.
A bonus was granted to Mrs Jones. Carterton, aud leave of absence was granted to Miss Forbes, Carterton, The resignation of Mr MacFarlane, of the Featherstou School was considered, and it was eventually decided that Mr MacFarlane should be asked if he desired an investigation, and if lie declined the offer, the resignation should be accepted.
