PROGRAMME. 1. Flung Handicap, 35 sove —Six furlongs; Nomination, 1 soy ; acceptance, 1 sot. 3. Handicap Steeplechase, 100 soys, second horse 10 soys from the stakes — About two miles and a half ; Nomination 1 soy ; acceptance, 2 iovs ; and2Boysattbe post. 8, Handicap Hack Race, 10 soys 1 mile—Open to horses that have never been entered for other than hack races. Post entry, 10s. 4. L. V. J. C. Handicap, 85 boys— Second boise 5 boys from the stakes ; two miles ; nomination 1 soy ; acceptance 2 boys, and one sov at post. 6. Belling Race, 20 soys—l mile, weight for age, the winner to become the absolute property of the Lower Valley Jockey Club, and to be sold by public auction immediately after the race. Entrance, 1 soy 6. Native Race Handicap, 20 sots—One mile ; nomination, 1 soy; acceptance, 10s. This race is only for horses owned at least six months previous to the day of races, trained and to be ridden by aboriginal Natives. 7. Martinbokough Handicap, 30 sovs—One mile ; nomination, 1 soy; acceptance, 10s RULES AND REGULATIONS. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m., the first race start at 12 noon sharp. Each Race will start punctually at the time appearing in the correct cards of the races. The flat races to be run under ihe L.V.J.C. Rules. The Steeple, chase under the N.Z.G.N.S.C. Rules. No scratching of horse a allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time of starting. All entries and nominations to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to the Secretary, entrance money to be enclosed with color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colors ofthe rider. In case of a protest, the same mnst be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited lithe prctestis not sustained. No entry will bo received for any of the races, except upon tile conditions, that ail claims disputes and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall he final. Nominations for Flying Steeplechase, L.Y.J.C., hj ative Race and Martiuborougn Handicaps, close with the Secretary, at Martinborough on Thursday, November 10th, at 11 p.m. Weights declared for Flying Steeplechase, L.V.J.C,, and Native Race Handicaps, ou Saturday, December sth, at 7 p.m. Acceptances for the same on Thursday, December 17th, at 11 p.m., at which time the entries for the Selling Race close with the Secretary at Martiuborongh. Weights for the Martmborough Handicap to bo declared on Ihe course after the Native Race is over. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes before the race takes place. Final payments for the L.V.J.C., and Steeplechase Handicaps to be made on the course an hour before time of starting for those events. No entry, nomination, acceptance, or final payments will be accepted after the appointed timeunder any pretence whatever. in the event of a walk over, only fifty per cent of the stakes will be given Horse owners should bear in mind that letters require to be in (he Featherston Post Oflice on Mondays and Thursdays afternoon to catch the mails going down to Martinborough on those days. All entries must be made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall ba final and "binding in all cases.
